About Me

IMG_5403Tilyian Morrin is a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in the Community Economic Development sector in Costa Rica (2016-2018). This blog tells the story of her travels, experiences, and new discoveries.

Tily is originally from Delafield, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012 with a degree in Community and Nonprofit Leadership. During college, she served as an Americorps Jumpstart Corps Member where she worked with preschool children in under-resourced neighborhoods in Madison, WI. In 2011, she was a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which allowed her to study abroad in Cape Town, South Africa.

After graduating, Tily spent 3 years living in North Lake Tahoe, California learning how to ski (from scratch, as they say), working at the North Tahoe Business Association, and volunteering with the Shane McConkey Foundation.

In her free time, Tily enjoys skiing, reading, hiking, and making tamales with her host mom. She especially loves puppies, coffee, pineapple, and tofu (generally not all at the same time).
